The best Credit Analyst has knowledge of loan policy and regulatory requirements, lending procedures and related documentation. They are a critical thinker, flexible and work best in a fast-paced environment. They are known to be very efficient and accurate and complete tasks in a timely manner.
A strong predictor of success is proven strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate with internal clients. They will be able to deal appropriately with a variety of personalities and have the ability to listen to direction from their supervisor. This is a fast-paced position and deadlines will need to be met.
As an experienced Credit Analyst you would:
Analyze business and personal loan requests to develop thorough and objective credit presentations while ensuring that the bank’s lending policies are followed. Responsible for assessing information, analyzing accounting information, and preparing loan recommendations for loan committee approval.
As an Jr Credit Analyst you would:
Provide administrative support and input/upload financial information for analysis on business and personal loan requests to develop thorough and objective credit presentations while ensuring that the bank’s lending policies are followed. Assist Portfolio Analysts in assessing information, analyzing accounting information, and preparing loan recommendations for loan committee approval.

Requires Associates or Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field of study, one or more years of related experience working in a banking environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
