The Personal Touch–The Healing Elements Story
What does a day spa and a bank have in common? Quite a lot, actually. Both Healing Elements Day Spa of West Bend and their bank, Commerce State Bank, believe in making their customers feel at home and customizing services to each individual client’s needs.
Nicolette Kearns has been a massage therapist for over twenty years and founded Healing Elements over fourteen years ago. One of her driving ambitions is to learn as much as she can about each customer, so she can create the best possible experience for each person.
Nicolette explains that she does not believe in a “cookie cutter massage” because each person is so different. No detail is too small… each Healing Elements therapist wants to know what tea a customer might like or if there are particular scents that they may like or dislike. As Nicolette explains, “We don’t want to have a customer smelling lavender the entire time they are with us if they don’t like lavender.”
Like Commerce State Bank, Healing Elements has clients who have been with the company since Nicolette first opened the business when she was the owner and the only employee. “Our clients become part of our family.”
Healing Elements has expanded multiple times and has grown to sixty-two employees. One of the reasons they have been so successful is that Nicolette has expanded her focus from strictly client-based objectives to also include how she can help her employees with their career opportunities.
Their physical space has also grown dramatically from 3,500 square feet to 13,000 square feet. As Nicolette says, “This is home. This is what we’ve been waiting for.”
From growth and expansion to dealing with the challenges of being a high-touch, service-oriented business during a pandemic, one constant has been Healing Elements’ relationship with Commerce State Bank.
Commerce State Bank helped Healing Elements secure a PPP loan, and was there when it mattered most with advice and information that they would not have known about otherwise.
Commerce State Bank understands that both your business and your banking needs evolve. If you would like to hear how your learning relationships become earning relationships, let us know.
Together, let’s roll.
